Technical Request Flow
Client → Proxy Gateway (IPv4)
Your application or device connects to our proxy servers using standard IPv4. This requires zero configuration changes on your end - we accept connections exactly as you would connect to any traditional IPv4 proxy service.
Gateway → Internet (IPv6)
Our gateway servers operate exclusively on IPv6 infrastructure. When your request arrives via IPv4, we forward it through our pool of over 1,200 octillion IPv6 addresses. This massive address space provides unparalleled scalability and anonymity compared to IPv4's limited 4.3 billion addresses.
CDN NAT64 Translation (For IPv4-Only Sites)
When targeting an IPv4-only website, the request routes through a CDN edge server (Cloudflare, Akamai, or Fastly) that performs NAT64 translation. The CDN synthesizes an IPv6 address for the IPv4 destination using DNS64, then translates between protocols. This happens transparently with minimal latency.
Response Return Path
The target server's response follows the reverse path: from the server (IPv4 or IPv6) through the CDN translator (if needed), back to our IPv6 gateway, and finally to your IPv4 client. The entire round-trip typically adds only 3-5ms of latency compared to direct connections.
Deep Dive: NAT64/DNS64 Technology
DNS64 Synthesis
When our IPv6 gateway queries an IPv4-only domain, the CDN's DNS64 resolver synthesizes an IPv6 address by embedding the IPv4 address within a special IPv6 prefix (typically 64:ff9b::/96). This allows IPv6 clients to address IPv4 servers using IPv6 notation.

NAT64 Gateway Translation
The CDN's NAT64 gateway maintains stateful translation tables, converting IPv6 packets to IPv4 and vice versa. It handles protocol differences including header formats, fragmentation, and ICMP message translation.
