KYC Required for Residential Proxies
To purchase Residential or Unlimited Residential proxies, you need to complete KYC verification first. Residential IPs belong to real households, so we verify every customer before checkout to prevent abuse and keep the network clean.
- Individuals: KYC becomes available in your dashboard after €10 total spend on any product
- Companies: request verification through an account manager
Datacenter, ISP and IPv6 proxies do not require KYC and can be used immediately after registration.

Our verification system has three stages. Datacenter, ISP and IPv6 proxies work immediately after registration. KYC is required before purchasing Residential and Unlimited Residential proxies, and to unlock restricted ports and sensitive websites.

Is KYC verification required to use PlainProxies?
KYC is required before you can purchase Residential or Unlimited Residential proxies. Datacenter, ISP and IPv6 proxies can be used immediately after registration without verification. KYC is also required to request access to mail ports (25, 110, 143, 993, 995) and sensitive websites such as government (.gov) sites, which are only unlocked after review by our compliance team.
Why is KYC required for residential proxies?
Residential IPs belong to real households. Verifying every customer before checkout prevents abuse, protects the people behind those IPs, and keeps the residential pool clean for legitimate users.
When can I request KYC verification?
Individuals can request KYC verification from their profile dashboard once they've spent at least €10 total on our platform, for example on Datacenter, ISP or IPv6 proxies. Companies can request verification directly through an account manager — contact [email protected] to get started.
How long does the KYC verification process take?
Most verifications are completed within 5 minutes. Our partner iDenfy handles the automated identity verification process. You'll receive an email notification once your verification is complete.
What documents are accepted for KYC verification?
We accept government-issued ID documents including passports, national ID cards, and driver's licenses. iDenfy supports documents from over 200 countries and territories.
Is my personal information safe during KYC?
Absolutely. We only receive a pass/fail result from iDenfy — we never store your ID documents, photos, or personal identification numbers. All sensitive data stays with iDenfy and is processed according to GDPR standards.
Why do I need KYC to access mail ports?
Mail ports (SMTP, POP3, IMAP) can be misused for spam campaigns. KYC verification ensures only legitimate users can access these ports, which protects our network reputation and ensures better deliverability for verified users.
Are whitelist requests approved automatically?
No. Every whitelist request — mail ports, sensitive websites such as .gov domains, and other restricted domains or URLs — is reviewed manually by our compliance team. Include a clear reason with your request to help us review it quickly.
Can I get access to banking websites after KYC?
No. Banking websites are permanently blocked on our network and are never unlocked, even for KYC-verified accounts.
What happens if my whitelist request is denied?
Denied requests cannot be resubmitted for the same value. If you believe your request was wrongly denied, you can contact our support team to appeal the decision with additional context about your use case.
